RD, ADHD, and their comorbidity from a dual route perspective

Learning Objectives:

1. Discuss how studying the overlap and specificity of impairments in lexical processing and rapid naming between ADHD and RD could aid in unravelling the origins of the comorbidity between these two disorders.

2. Discuss that lexical processing could be subdivided according to the Dual Route Cascaded model in lexical route and sublexical route processing which can be useful in understanding reading impairments in languages varying in orthographic consistency.
